
Ryan is an economic policy researcher at the Rocky Mountain Employee Ownership Center, where he applies his expertise to building a more equitable, worker-centered economy. He is deeply passionate about building economic power through democratic and worker-centered equity structures as pathways toward justice, dignity, and collective well-being.
Ryan earned his MA in Global Economic Affairs from the University of Denver, where he was trained in quantitative methods and political economy. His research background includes criminal justice reform, with a particular focus on rehabilitative drug sanctioning and alternatives to punitive carceral approaches. He is a member of the Association for Economic and Social Analysis (AESA). Through his research with RMEOC, Ryan seeks to support workers and communities by advancing employee ownership and other equity-based models that challenge entrenched power and expand democratic control over the economy.
